Danilo Perez Ill And In Hospital In Panama
Sources close to http://PBJF.com have notified The New Jazz Thing (http://TheNewJazzThing.com) that an interview with Danilo scheduled for 6/11/2009 has been canceled as Danilo has been hospitalized in Panama. There is no word on whether his appearance with the Wayne Shorter Quintet on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at the Playboy Jazz Festival is in doubt.

Ran in to Geoffrey Keezer before his set with Coz of Good Music…got a pic with him and Anat Cohen…and he will be sitting in with Wayne Shorter in place of Danilo Perez.
He said Danilo is not seriously injured, but injured something and could not make the gig.
Geoffrey rocked it with Cosby…as did Anat…and he sounded excited to be playing with Wayne.
